Birthday Friday Faves!

Happy Friday everyone! It’s my last Friday before I turn one year older (2 days! 2 days!). Woooohoooo! I’ve had an incredibly busy week, so I am more than ready to yell, “IT’S MY BIRTHDAY!!!” all night on Saturday night when I go out to get drinks with friends. πŸ˜€ Here, let’s start now: IT’S MA BIRTHDAYYYYYYYYY!!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€

Typically, my birthdays are really birthday months (I’ve upgraded from only having a birthday week circa 2006) and consist of the following in no particular order:

  1. Bubbles
  2. Fireworks
  3. A smokin’ outfit and heels that make me a minimum of 4 inches taller
  4. Debauchery
  5. Stolen objects (ahem, traffic cones)
  6. Dance party (daft punk, anyone?)

Yes. So, if you’d like to get me a birthday present, here are the following things I am loving:

1. Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut NV Champagne

ultra brut

This champ is ultra brut, well-balanced and bone dry (just how I like it!). Tastes like perfection when paired with bright, fresh, local strawberries. And clearly, I need some ultra brut for my ultra fantastic self.

2. Mara Hoffman

I love her crazy, bright patterns with an immense fierceness. I may or may not be wearing this dress for my birthday from RTRW…

3. Pamela Love Jewelery

I want every piece of jewelery she makes, especially the ones with moonstones and lunar themes. OBSESSED! Also, I frequently stalk her on Instagram and I love all of her posts. πŸ™‚

4. Nike Free 5.0

It’s time for some new training shoes and I want these obnoxiously brightly colored ones, so I look like a bolt of lightning when I’m doing sprints.

5. Lululemon Define Jacket

Guys, you all know that Lulu would make the list, duh. Not only do I already own like 3 other Lulu jackets, 2 scubas and more than enough pullovers, I totally don’t “need” this, and I’m just happy that they brought the Define back and I’d like one. And, I actually kind of like this weird Gator Green color. I’m into it. πŸ™‚

6. And the most important…

I wish I could teleport all of my friends scattered over the country (and globe!) and have them be all in the same place with me tomorrow night as I celebrate. That would be amazing.

Now for some important questions:

1. Does anyone have a great vegan birthday cake recipe?

2. What’s your favorite cocktail to celebrate with, and should I try it out or what?

3. How are you guys celebrating my birthday this weekend? πŸ˜‰ πŸ˜›

Also everyone go wish my blog sista-from-anotha-mista Briana good luck for her first ever half that she’s running on my birthday! πŸ˜€

With warmth, bubbles, and lots of dancing,

  1. Happy Birthday L! It looks like you have quite a line up!! For the cake, try Nigella Lawson’s Old Fashioned Chocolate cake. Just use vegan butter and chocolate, and some soya yoghurt to replace all the dairy items; replace the eggs with some egg replacer mix! It’s a rich and sinful cake (we haven’t made it for yrs.) but it’s your birthday after all! Here’s to a great birthday! xxx
